Interesting article on CT Online.
I know I have noticed several differences to familiar hymns in the Red Trinity Hymnal and knew there must be a reason why. This article confirms it.
Glad to know some thoughtful people put this together for our benefit.
And as a bonus, a good illustration from Packer.

I've noticed some of these changes myself. One of the amusing ones we run into is the change in "To God Be The Glory" where "...opened the life-gate that all may go in" now ends "...that we may go in"
:-)
"Frozen chosen" indeed.
I don't know if I always like changing some lyrics, but it is understandable. I like to think they had good intentions in helping the "Frozen Chosen" to worship ;)
